Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

✅ Why I Love This Book

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus is an interesting and humorous book. It tells the story of Elizabeth Zott, a brilliant and strong woman scientist in the 1960s. People do not take her seriously because she is a woman, but she does not give up. Her journey is inspiring, and the book is full of humor and valuable life lessons.

✅ Reading Level: ATOS and Lexile Measures

The book is written for adults, and advanced English learners can enjoy it too. However, it may be challenging if you haven’t read many English books before. That’s why I catagorized it in level 4 section. The Lexile and ATOS reading levels are not easy to find, but if you can understand most words in a newspaper, you should be able to read this book. Read the preview to see how much you can understand.
